Who we are

Who we are

We are a collective of local mums providing peer support to help other parents through pregnancy, childbirth, infancy, and toddlerhood.

Mission statement

We support families in Stockport and Cheshire on their parenting journeys, from pregnancy to toddlerhood. We believe in the importance of secure attachments between parents/carers and their children. We provide peer support and signpost to services to guide and care for families, focusing on the wellbeing of the parent/carer and child.

Our team

Our management team is four parents – Ellie Thouret, Gemma Jones, Alex Smith, and Donna Hawkyard. We were inspired to set up Cheshire Parenting Collective to provide the support we felt was missing when our own children were born.

We are supported by a fantastic team of volunteers, who help run our sling and nappy libraries, and inspire us to grow and improve our services.

Donations and funding

We are reliant on individual donations and grant funding to run our core services and project work. You can donate with cash at any of our meets, by visiting PayPal, or by bank transfer (please contact us to arrange).

We are always looking for new fundraising ideas and support – please get in touch if you have a suggestion.
